Pennsylvania State PreK-8 or 7-12 Special Education Certification

This teacher preparation program is designed for the college graduate who, as an undergraduate or post-graduate, has received initial certification in general education and who is interested in pursuing additional certification in special education.

Ph.D. Special Education

This 60-credit degree program is designed for the college graduate who holds  a master’s degree in special education or a related area and who is interested in pursuing advanced studies in special education. This degree program prepares students for careers in educational leadership in higher education as teacher trainers, consultants, and researchers.

M.Ed. Special Education

 This degree program is designed for the college graduate who holds instructional certification in special education and who is interested in pursuing advanced studies in special education.

M.Ed. Special Education & Dual Pennsylvania State Certification in 7-12 Special Education and 7-12 General Education

The secondary teacher intern program leads to a Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) degree and Instructional I certification that qualifies the candidate to teach in the public schools of Pennsylvania.

M.Ed. Special Education & Dual Pennsylvania State Certification in PreK-8 Special Education and PreK-4 General Education

Designed for the college graduate who, as an undergraduate, specialized in a field other than education and who is capable of beginning his or her study of professional practice at an advanced level and is not certified.

M.Ed. Special Education & Pennsylvania State PreK-8 or 7-12 Special Education Certification

This teacher preparation program is designed for the college graduate who, as an undergraduate or post-graduate, has received initial certification in general education and who is interested in pursuing additional certification in special education. This program is comprised of 32 credits.
