Additional Pennsylvania General Education Certification (PreK-4 or 7-12)

The Additional Pennsylvania General Education Certification program is for those who hold an initial state teaching certification in some area and would like to also be certified in either the PreK-4 or 7-12 general education grade bands.

M.Ed. Elementary Education & Pennsylvania State PreK-4 Certification (Dual Special Education PreK-8 certification option available)

The elementary teacher education program leads to a Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) degree and Instructional I certification that qualifies the candidate to teach in the public schools of Pennsylvania.

Five-Year Bachelor's plus Master's & Pennsylvania Teacher Certification

In just 5 years Lehigh University undergraduate students can earn their Bachelor's and Master of Education degrees plus Pennsylvania Teacher Certification in Early Elementary or Secondary Education.

M.Ed. Secondary Education & Pennsylvania State 7-12 Certification (M.A. and Dual Special Education 7-12 certification options available)

The secondary teacher education program leads to a Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) degree and Instructional I certification that qualifies the candidate to teach in the public schools of Pennsylvania.

M.Ed. or M.A. Teaching and Learning

The goal of the post-certification Master’s in Teaching and Learning is to provide professionally oriented practicing classroom teachers an in-depth understanding of classroom learning environments and experience in classroom-based research methods.

Technology Use in the Schools Certificate

Students enrolled in the 12-credit Technology Use in the Schools certificate* program will learn best practices in how to implement and integrate instructional technologies to enhance learning outcomes in a variety of school settings.

Ph.D. Teaching, Learning, & Technology

The doctorate in Teaching, Learning, and Technology (TLT) is a 48-credit, post master's Ph.D. program with concentrations in either Instructional Design and Technology or Learning and Instruction. The TLT Ph.D. program employs a scientist/practitioner model of learning. That is, research is not separate from application or practice.
